bonus money cash billsBiglaw firms continue to open their coffers to award their hardworking associates with higher salaries. Not all firms will be able to make a Cravath match, of course, but those that wish to maintain their status as members of the elite certainly will.

The latest firm to do so is Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, a firm that landed at No. 62 in the most recent Am Law 100, bringing home $723,452,000 gross revenue in 2020. This is what the new salary scale looks like at the firm:

Pillsbury Raise Scale 2022

In other news, the firm has committed to maintaining its “super bonus” programs that award associates with up to an additional $50,000 in above-market bonus bucks for high billables. Associates and counsel who qualified for the firm’s first- and second-tier super bonuses in 2021 have been awarded with 50 qualifying hours towards their 2022 bonus and billable hours thresholds as a sign of Pillsbury’s appreciation for their hard work.

Pillsbury associates (and counsel) will see their raises reflected in their March 31st paychecks, retroactive to January 1. Congrats to everyone at the firm!

(Flip to the next page to see the full memo from Pillsbury.)

Remember everyone, we depend on your tips to stay on top of this stuff. So when your firm matches, please text us (646-820-8477) or email us (subject line: “[Firm Name] Matches Cravath”). Please include the memo if available. You can take a photo of the memo and send it via text or email if you don’t want to forward the original PDF or Word file.

And if you’d like to sign up for ATL’s Bonus Alerts (which is the alert list we’ll also use for salary announcements), please scroll down and enter your email address in the box below this post. If you previously signed up for the bonus alerts, you don’t need to do anything. You’ll receive an email notification within minutes of each bonus announcement that we publish.
