Cohen Ziffer is a relative newcomer as a firm, bringing insurance recovery and commercial litigation expertise together in a powerhouse boutique. The firm has talked a lot about creating economic opportunity for female lawyers — and it’s putting its money where its mouth is.

After amassing an office of 26 lawyers, more than double their starting 12, they’re still looking for some of the best to join their ranks. And based off their bonus scale, the lawyers brought in to the fold are compensated handsomely.

For many who decide to work a job that fosters diversity and inclusion, they often have to deal with conditions where they are underpaid or can get lost in too many people doing what a small group could do better. Considering that this firm has not yet had its first anniversary, it’s doing a damn good job of keeping the good without the bad.

We like hearing about bonuses almost as much as you enjoy spending them. As soon as your firm’s memo comes out, please email it to us (subject line: “[Firm Name] Bonus”) or text us (646-820-8477). Please include the memo if available. You can take a photo of the memo and send it via text or email if you don’t want to forward the original PDF or Word file.

And if you’d like to sign up for ATL’s Salary & Bonus Alerts, please scroll down and enter your email address in the box below this post. If you previously signed up for the bonus alerts, you don’t need to do anything. You’ll receive an email notification within minutes of each bonus announcement that we publish.

Before that, he wrote columns for an online magazine named The Muse Collaborative under the pen name Knehmo. He endured the great state of Missouri long enough to graduate from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. He is a former boatbuilder who cannot swim, a published author on critical race theory, philosophy, and humor, and has a love for cycling that occasionally annoys his peers.
