Ed. note: Welcome to our daily feature, Quote of the Day.

We’re touching on a very wide range of issues that have applications for lawyers, law students, and law professors—not just the nuts and bolts of corporate law. That’s what has made it fun.

Professional screenwriters are just better at creating memorable characters and scenarios than most law professors

— Professor Diane Kemker of DePaul University College of Law, in comments given to Reuters on an online discussion group that’s frequented by law professors across the country, named the Waystar/Royco School of Law, in honor of the fictional company and family at the center of HBO’s “Succession.” Don’t be surprised if you see a legal lesson from the show pop up on a law school exam sometime soon. DePaul even has a forthcoming edition of its law review dedicated to the show.
