Size matters in the heart of our country’s innovation capitol, especially after a year where lateral movement between firms was fast and furious. Sure, there was a lot of attrition in 2021, but firms were still putting up huge head count numbers thanks to the rapid influx of new associates in the ongoing talent wars.
The Silicon Valley Business Journal recently unleashed its annual ranking of the largest IP law firms in Silicon Valley, based on the number of local IP lawyers present in offices there. If you’ve ever wondered about head counts, this is the ranking for you.

- Latham & Watkins: 64
- Morrison & Foerster: 46
- Cooley: 43
- Morgan Lewis & Bockius: 38
