Summer programs are a time for extravagance. After surviving on fast food and coffee while poring over outlines, students finally have an opportunity to do some real work (err… real-ish work that the firm probably won’t bill) and revel in the elegance of high-rolling firm life. Michelin-star lunches! Baseball box seats! Flashing co-workers!
One could say that summer associates live the Cinderella tale, having emerged from the toil of law school to live a brief shining summer of glory.
But this story takes it to a new level.
