bonus money cash billsWe all know what time it is. It’s bonus season and people want their money. Why go through all the fanfare of thanking associates for their undying commitment to the firm or not wearing socks with holes in them. Send the damned email out, know everyone is going to try and bill .1 for reading it, and keep it moving.

At least that’s the vibe I got from Weil, Gotshal & Manges. While I wouldn’t go so far as to call it curt, it was definitely efficient in its delivery. Like so:

Class Year 2021 Overall Strong Bonus Special Bonus
2021 $15,000 (prorated) N/A
2020 $20,000 $4,000
2019 $30,000 $6,000
2018 $57,500 $11,500
2017 $75,000 $15,000
2016 $90,000 $18,000
2015 $105,000 $21,000
2014 and more senior, including three year counsel $115,000 $23,000

Congratulations on your bonuses, pay off your student loans, do some paying it forward, etc.

(Turn to the next page to see the Weil, Gotshal & Manges memo.)

We like hearing about bonuses almost as much as you enjoy spending them. As soon as your firm’s memo comes out, please email it to us (subject line: “[Firm Name] Bonus”) or text us (646-820-8477). Please include the memo if available. You can take a photo of the memo and send it via text or email if you don’t want to forward the original PDF or Word file.

And if you’d like to sign up for ATL’s Salary & Bonus Alerts, please scroll down and enter your email address in the box below this post. If you previously signed up for the bonus alerts, you don’t need to do anything. You’ll receive an email notification within minutes of each bonus announcement that we publish.
